Candle Night Summer Solstice 2009
Turn off the lights, and take it slow.
In 2009, we will extend Candle Night week, like we did in 2008. In Japan, lights-down events will be held on June 21 and July 7, supported by the Japanese Ministry of the Environment.
On the evenings of June 20 to July 7, 2009, from 8 to 10 p.m., we encourage people to be away from artificial lighting and enjoy some quality and slow time with your loved ones by candlelights.
You can always enjoy Candle Night whenever you want. Just turn off the lights and spend some quality time in the candlelight--it will be your own Candle Night.
Anyone can join Candle Night, no matter who we are, what we care about, and what cause we have. Candle Night gives you an opportunity to look for something we tend to forget in our busy everyday lives.
A new Candle Night website is ready to open.
Please keep updated with the latest information.
